Shangrila Is a Country of Thieves

Shangrila is a country of thieves. Night guests make off with steel and copper from steam pipes. Homeless squatters snatch mattresses from his neighbors in patios of railroad stations. Metropolitan bandits ambush in street corners, mugging the drunk staggering their way home.


Shangrila is a country of thieves. Goblins in red caps pilfer oils from gas stations. Bankers misappropriate customers' money and wire-transfer it to their own mysterious accounts. Professors plagiarize other scholars' works. Businessmen are evasive on balance sheets. Lawyers and judges equivocate on their income results to IRS.
